Shiatsu Academy CR ONE MONTH WEEKENDS INTENSIVE COURSE. 4 weekends 8 hours per day 64 class hours + 64 home study hours, total of 128 hours This intensive course is designed for established Massage Practitioners who want to expand their horizons, learn advanced techniques, learn the critical diagnostic skills in Chinese Medicine and improve their practice. It comprehends fundamental theory of Chinese Medicine: Yin - Yang theory, Zang - Fu, 5 elements theory. Diagnosis in TCM, the 12 classical acupuncture meridians; location and treatment. Major acupuncture points. Practice: A variety of techniques performed on a futon on the floor. Kyo - Jitsu Perpendicularly pressure Tuning and connecting Hare and back diagnostic areas All meridians treatment, Sequence in prone, supine and side position The different articular districts and their treatment: neck & shoulders Elbows, wrist and hands thoracic & lumbar spine Ilio sacrum joint Hips and knees Ankle and feet Head and jaw body realignment How to treat the organs in TCM: acupuncture points, auricular therapy, diet, lifestyle. The use of moxa and cupping. SYLLABUS DAY 1 Morning Knowing ourselves Walking on the knees HoM exercises (harmony of movement) Center of gravity Kyo - Jitsu Yin-Yang Theory Yin Yang meridians Afternoon Sequence in prone Location of Yin meridians Location of Yang meridians Sequence in supine Day 2 Morning Location and treatment of the meridians in prone and supine Afternoon 5 elements theory Side sequence Zang - Fu End of 1st weekend Students must practice at home at least 10 sessions and study the theory, write down the Q and the uncertainty of any kind (theoretical of practical) DAY 3 Morning Review of the knees walking, and sequences in prone side and supine focus on smooth movement, Kyo Jitsu and connection. Forum about all Q and uncertainty Afternoon Major Acupuncture points in the yin meridian Treatment sequence focus on Kyo and jitsu meridians Hara and back diagnosis DAY 4 Morning Sequence in prone Hips, sacrum & pelvis in prone position - psoas stretch Sequence in supine Hips, sacrum & pelvis in supine. Psoas treatment Afternoon Zang Fu Sequence in side Psoas and pelvic treatment Pregnancy treatment End of the second weekend. Students are asked to perform at least 10 treatments in the following 2 weeks and study the theory. We will review all uncertainty in class at the beginning of the next class. Afternoon Complete treatment in 2 positions: prone and supine, with hara, back and tongue diagnosis.
