Terms & Conditions, Shiatsu Academy CR

By enrolling in any course or program offered by Shiatsu Academy CR, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Enrollment & Reservation

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your place in a course or program.

  • Your enrollment is confirmed only after the deposit has been received and verified.

  • The deposit is applied toward the total course fee.

  • The remaining balance must be paid according to the payment terms provided after enrollment.

2. Courses & Training

Shiatsu Academy CR offers professional training programs in Shiatsu and Traditional Chinese Medicine, including different levels and study formats (weekly, weekend, and residential).

Training includes:

  • Theoretical instruction

  • Practical demonstrations

  • Hands-on practice

  • Supervised sessions

  • Home practice and integration

The School reserves the right to adjust curriculum, schedule, or teaching structure when necessary, while maintaining the core learning objectives.

3. Attendance & Participation

  • Students are expected to attend regularly and actively participate in all sessions.

  • A minimum attendance requirement applies to qualify for certification.

  • Students must inform the School in advance of any absence.

  • Repeated absence, lateness, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the program without refund.

4. Assessment & Certification

  • Student progress may be evaluated through practical assessments, participation, and theoretical understanding.

  • Certification or diploma is granted only upon:

    • Successful completion of training requirements

    • Meeting attendance criteria

    • Fulfillment of all financial obligations

The School reserves the right to withhold certification if these conditions are not met.

5. Cancellations & Refund Policy

  • The deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellation, withdrawal, or non-attendance by the student.

  • If the School cancels a course, all payments made by the student will be fully refunded or transferred to a future program.

6. Student Conduct

Students are expected to maintain a professional, respectful, and responsible attitude at all times.

The following are not tolerated:

  • Disruptive behavior

  • Harassment or misconduct

  • Academic dishonesty

Violation may result in dismissal from the program without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All course materials (manuals, techniques, lectures, and content) are the intellectual property of Shiatsu Academy CR.

Students may not:

  • Copy

  • Share

  • Distribute

  • Reproduce

any materials without written permission.

8. Health & Responsibility

  • Shiatsu and bodywork training involve physical contact and practical participation.

  • Students acknowledge and accept any inherent risks associated with training.

  • The School is not responsible for personal injury or loss of property, except in cases of proven negligence.

9. Changes & Force Majeure

The School reserves the right to:

  • Modify schedules

  • Adjust instructors

  • Reschedule sessions

in case of unforeseen circumstances, while maintaining the integrity of the program.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Costa Rica, and any disputes shall be resolved under its jurisdiction.

11. Acceptance of Terms

By completing your enrollment and making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
